The premier league returns with some absolute corkers. We all predicted the results last week in an uneventful weekend of premier league action.
Everton v Man utd not the easiest games for Man U to return to form in but they will grind it out and drenthe being suspended means the toffees will not be that fluent going forward. 0-2 man utd
A few tough games to call this week. Well here I go:
Wolves vs Swansea
The Welsh lads haven't been anywhere near as impressive away from home. I see Wolves breaking their awful 5 game losing run here with a hard fought 1-0. HOME WIN (1-0)
Villa vs West Brom
McLeish has a negative mentality when it comes to most games but he is even worse in derby games. I can see 1-1 panning out here - baggies have a good couple of results under their belts but Villa may be too strong for them to nick a win. DRAW (1-1)
Bolton vs Sunderland
Now the comical pointless champions league games are over, they have got more boring or one sided as the years have gone on, it is back to the bread and butter and may i add strawberry jam to the premier league.
Wolves v Swansea, my oh my how badly do wolves need a win. the only good thing is the Swans cant defend but they can create. I think the run will end for wolves but it could be very entertaining, 2 - 1 wolves
Villa v Brom, 0 - 0, i hope i am wrong but neither team is exactly inspiring.
Bolton v Sun 0 - 0 see above
Liverpool v Man utd, At last a decent game 2 flambouyant teams at the top of their game (not). A nervy affair with mistakes a plenty should be entertaining 2- 2
Man City v Aston Villa, i can see this being tighter then at first glance, man city will still win, 2-1
Norwich v Swansea, this should be a corker, end to end plenty of atacking football, 3 -1 norwich
QPR v Blackburn, I hate blackburn, come on the hoops, 2 - 0 the gers
OK, here we go, this weeks premier league games and we have a few good uns,
Everton v Liverpool, moyes men are battling hard and liverpool looking fragile, i am not sure gerrard will be risked in such a game from the start. pity he did not have a another game in between. everton to win 2 -1
Villa v Wigan, hardly the game of the week, but there will be some goals villa 2 - 1
BBurn v Man City. Neither team has my approval of how they are run but at least Man city play attractive football. could not really care about this game but still want city to win. 1-2 man city
This weekend should be full of incidents. North London and Merseyside Derbies. Adebayor facing Arsenal again. Sunderland without lead singer of the BabyBrambles. Man City trying to put the Tevez saga behind them. Lovely Stuff all round.
Everton vs Liverpool.
Toffees will always put it a shift against their cross town rivals. The overpriced players across the way need to start putting in better performances really, they've hardly lit up the premier league so far this season. A game packed full of talking points. DRAW (1-1)
Villa vs Wigan.
Man City vs Everton.
Home win all the way. Everton could frustrate their opponents but I think whatever team Man City put out today will get the job done. HOME WIN (3-0)
Arsenal vs Bolton.
Arsenal can score but preventing goals has become a real issue in recent years. Bolton got a good result midweek against Villa and Owen Coyle has a decent record against Arsene Wenger, I think they'll steal a DRAW at the Emirates. (2-2)
Chelsea vs Swansea.
Again after another week of meaningless carling cup fixtures, with all the old english veterans playing. (soon to be seen on masters football on a sky channel near you). the premier league returns
Man City v Everton. 2 teams doing rather well, both progressing in the cup but man city able to rest influential players. Moyes once again tho is showing how well he can do with average players. Man City will win this, but only just. 2 -1 man city
Joe has seen a meteoric rise in recent weeks from bottom of the Predictions Table to sitting pretty at the top.
After a few surprise results last week he nicked in to record the best total of GameWeek 5.
Let's see how he and the others get on in GameWeek 6.
Predictions will be up on the website later on today.
I heard an interesting fact the other day. Man U's fixtures after their European games are all at home.....
Onto this week's games:
Blackburn vs Arsenal
